General Questions

What is the attire for the event?
Our dress code, casual cocktail, allows for a bit of creativity in your interpretation! We encourage your attire to be fun and expressive; something that you feel comfortable and confident in. Many of our guests come straight from work, while others change into festive attire.

What is the schedule of events?
Event doors open at 6:00PM with access to the event activities including chef tasting stations, silent auction, raffle, music, photo opps and more. We will have a brief program at 8:00PM which will include our live auction. At 8:30PM the silent auction and raffle will close, and winners will be announced. Fund the Mission will begin at 9:30PM followed by closing remarks and luminary path.

Will I receive a tax receipt for my donation?
If you mail in your donation, the American Cancer Society will send you a receipt for your tax records, approximately six weeks after payment is received. If you make a donation online using your credit card, you will be directed to a confirmation page that can be printed for your tax records. In addition, an email will be sent to you that includes a receipt that can be printed for your records.

How will my donation be used?
Taste of Hope donations will support the mission of the American Cancer Society as it works to free the world from cancer by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy and service.

The American Cancer Society is the largest private funder of cancer research in the United States, with more than $4.8 billion invested in the search for new cures. Research funded by the Society has laid the groundwork for virtually every major breakthrough in cancer prevention, detection and treatment seen in the last seven decades. When we began, only a quarter of all cancer patients achieved 5-year survival. Today, more than 2 in 3 will reach this milestone. Through the years, 47 scientists funded by the Society have earned the Nobel Prize for their findings.
